HEALTHY GRILLED CABBAGE RECIPE

GRILLED CABBAGE

My baby sister told me about how she saw someone cooked cabbage on the grill, so Sunday gone, I tried it out, and boy I tell you something, I had no regrets with this one. Besides it being easy to prepare, it was tasty and healthy at the same time!  All I did was washed it with water,,cut up the cabbage into chunks, laid the bacon at the bottom of the heavy duty foil paper, laid the cabbage on top and seasoned it with my favorite season, closed the foil up and let it cook on the grill for about 45 minutes or so. Cabbage makes it's own water, so no need for water, and no need for stirring over the stove. Thanks sis!

After cooking the cabbage, I threw some center cut pork chops on the grill for a total of about 12 minutes.

A easy recipe for Blueberry lovers

BLUE BERRIES AND WHIP CREAM!

Blueberries and whip cream is what I ate after completing my weekly diet. As you can see, I piled on the berries! Any kind of berries will go well with whip cream, and the good part about this recipe is that it only requires three items, a glass or bowl, berries and the cream. Just looking at this picture makes me want to go out a buy these items , but no matter how bad I want this, I must wait for it, so try it sometimes, you may fall in love with it just like I did.

How to make oven fried fish

If you want a quick, easy, and delicious meal to try, I recommend the fried catfish with bread or warm grits!

For dieter, add a little salt to the fish and eating one piece of fish might now off set your diet too much. This is a picture of my husbands plate.

To prepare the fried catfish
First and far most, rinse the meat off and pat it
  1. lightly season the fish with season salt pepper and your choice of meal, I use Louisiana fish fry meal
  2. to deep fry, put lots of grease in a deep skillet and fry hard
  3. fry fish until golden, pat the oil out of it with a clean and dry dish rag and let it get warm enough to eat.
  4.  serve with warm cooked grits.
  5. That was a quick and delicious meal with very little healthy ingredients, but I had my favorite chopped cucumbers and vinegar along with a banana to complete my meal.

GRILLED TERIYAKI AND SALMON RECIPE

Crushed pecan teriyaki and salmon dish for salmon lovers!
Check out this salmon crushed pecan teriyaki recipe.

I WANTED TO TRY OUT THIS RECIPE BECAUSE IT LOOKED
SOMETHING I MIGHT LOVE TO EAT.

THIS COULD BE A WONDERFUL MEAL TO SERVE WHEN COMPANY'S COMING AND YOU DONT HAVE A LOT F TIME TO PREPARE.  COMPLEMENTS FROM THE TAST OF HOME RECIPE BOOK. I ADDED THE TERIYAKI SAUCE TO GIVE IT THE TAST I WAS DESIRING..

PREP: 15 MIN, + STANDING
BAKE: 10 MIN.
4 salmon fillets (around 6 ounces each)
2 cups milk
1 cup chopped pecans
1?2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cu packed brown sugar ( I used 1/2 cup)
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 teaspoons canola oil
1l place salmon fillets in a large reseal able plastic bag, add milk. Seal bag and turn to coat. let stand for 10 minutes/ drain.
2. Meanwhile, in a shallow bowl, combine the pecans flour brown sugar, seasoned salt and pepper.  Coat fillets with pecan mixture, gently pressing into the fish.
3. In a large skillet, brown salmon over medium-high heat in oil. Transfer to a baking pan coated with cooking spray.  Bake at 400degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until the fish is flakey; yield 4 servings.
This recipe didn't deliver the tasted I had hoped for, not to say it won't deliver the taste for your taste buds! So what I did was poured some teriyaki sauce over the salmon after cooking it. The sauce delivered the taste that I was looking for, not to sweet but just right for my likings.
